uBR7225VXR CMTS configurations

The Cisco uBR7225VX 2 RU high, modular, highly affordable CMTS is ideal for smaller networks where you want to launch DOCSIS 3.0 services and in the long run, you need 16DSx16US capacity.

Product Features:

​

  • ​DOCSIS® and Euro-DOCSIS® 1.0, 1.1, 2.0 and 3.0, PacketCable 1.1 and PacketCable Multimedia (PCMM) and OpenCable ™ DOCSIS Set-Top Gateway (DSG) compatibility allow for the launch of new and symmetric services such as: VoIP, on-demand data services, VPN and DOCSIS based video services.

  • The uBR7225VXR CMTS can contain two 8x8 DOSIS 3.0 CMTS cards. 16 DS and 16 US EuroDOCSIS 3.0 capacity in 2RU.

  • The modular design allows two CMTS cards, one NPE module and two fully redundant power supplies.

  • Unique MPLS capacity allows you to provide VPN services.

  • Like all Cisco Routers, the uBR7225VXR also uses the industry's most versatile Cisco IOS software platform.

uBR7225VXR module selection:

​

  • ​UBR-MC-8x8 CMTS card:  DOCSIS 3.0 capable with 8 DS and 8 US ports. In the case of 8x8 cards, the number of return ports per MAC domain can be varied flexibly.

  • uBR7200-NPE-G2 Network Processing Engine Module: When using the EuroDOCSIS 3.0 MC-8x8 module, the NPE-G2 module is required. Older versions of NPE modules are not applicable. The NPE-G2 module contains three RJ45 or optical GbE ports.

The Cisco UBR7246VX modular, highly affordable CMTS is ideal for smaller networks where you want to launch DOCSIS 3.0 services and in the long run have enough 32DSx132US capacity.

  • The uBR7246VXR CMTS can receive 4pcs 8x8 DOCSIS 3.0 CMTS cards.

  • Maximum 32 DS and 32 US DOCSIS 3.0 capacity.

  • Unique MPLS capacity allows you to provide VPN services.

  • Like all Cisco Routers, the uBR7246VXR also uses the industry's most versatile Cisco IOS software platform.

  • Redundancy similar to large CMTSs: The uBR7246VXR CMTS can receive two redundant AC or DC power supplies. All component elements of the device hot-swappable in case of error, and the configuration is stored on a removable PC Flash memory card. It is also possible to create a 1 + 1 or N + 1 cable modem card and complete CMTS redundancy.

The Cisco uBR10012 is a modular, extremely affordable CMTS platform with unique DOCSIS 3.0 capability (160DSx160US for I-CMTS and up to 480DSx480US M-CMTS architecture) for larger networks.

Product Features:

  • 18 Rack Unit high,  NEBS, ETSI and ANSI compatible frame unit

  • For maximum deployment, EuroDOCSIS 3.0 has up to 480 DS x 480 US capacity.

  • The modular design allows eight CMTS cards, six SPA cards, two PRE Performance Routing Engine modules, two DTCC + (Timing, Communication and Control Plus) modules, two WAN Interface modules and two power supply modules to receive.

  • DOCSIS® and Euro-DOCSIS® 3.0, PacketCable and PacketCable Multimedia (PCMM) and OpenCable ™ DOCSIS Set-Top Gateway (DSG) compatibility allow for the launch of new and symmetric services such as: VoIP, on-demand data services, VPN and DOCSIS based video services.

  • Like all Cisco Routers, uBR10012 uses the industry's most versatile Cisco IOS software platform.

  • Full redundancy: The uBR10012 frame unit has redundant data buses. For each module, it is possible to build a redundant configuration. CMTS cards have a maximum of 7x1 and 1 + 1 redundancy for other modules.

  • EuroDOCSIS 3.0 I-CMTS Solution: The uBR10012 frame can be equipped with 8 pieces of MC20x20 EuroDOCSIS 3.0 modules. The MC20x20 module has 20 pcs DS 20 pcs US ports.

  • EuroDOCSIS 3.0 M-CMTS with 3G60 Modules: The uBR10012 has the option of installing a total of 8 pieces of 3G60 modules. A 3G60 module can handle up to 60 US channels of 60DS and 20 physical return ports on three GiGE interfaces. This allows for 480DS and 480US capacities at CMTS level.

  • Optimal RF Capacity Utilization: The flexible DS / US port configuration and DS and US Load Balancing allow you to access the most appropriate modem distribution for your cable TV network.

  • Unique Routing and Switching Capacity: BGPv4, IBGP, OSPF, ISIS, IP Multicast and many other Routing and Switching protocols.

uBR10012 module selection:

​

  • 20x20V EuroDOCSIS 3.0 CMTS Module: The 20x20V CMTS module has 20 forward and 20 return ports. UBR10012 can contain 8pcs CMTS modules.

  • 3G60 EuroDOCSIS 3.0 CMTS Module: Has 3 GigE ports, 72 DOCSIS or 60 EuroDOCSIS 3.0 DS capacity. In addition, it has a total of 60 US channels on 20 physical RF ports. DS and US licenses can be expanded flexibly, even one by one. Minimum configuration is 16DSx16US.

  • PRE-4 or PRE-5 Performance Routing Engine Modules: PRE modules also perform Layer2 and Layer3 package processing in addition to network management functions. There are already four integrated 10GE optical ports on the PRE-5 module. These 10GE interfaces can be licensed individually by software key. The uBR10012 frame unit can receive two redundant PRE-4 or PRE-5 modules.

  • WAN Modules: The uBR10012 frame unit can be equipped with 2 pieces of 5x 1GbE or 1x 10GbE WAN modules.

  • DTCC + (Timing, Communication and Control Plus) Module: Two DTCC + modules can be inserted into the uBR10012 frame unit. The DTCC + module receives the DTI clock required for DOCSIS 3.0 M-CMTS.
